Tanice (Played by Ciara)

The main character of this tale, Tanice is bright, beautiful, and the next big star on the scene. Singing is the least of her problems as she has to survive a personal life which includes a controlling dad, a bratty sister, a innocent mother, and a super agent. Singing and her best friend Melita are her only forms of escaping reality.

Malinda Skiles  (Played by Phylicia Rashaad)

 Tanice's mother, and main advisor. Malinda never was too thrilled about Tanice's fame, but she advises her daughter any which way she can. Malinda tends to be a little too over protective at times, which normally causes conflict between her and her daughter, but she's just as protective of Tanice when William gets out of line as well.

William Skiles (Played by Keith David) Known to his family as "Big Will", Will had sacrificed everything he's ever had for his daughter, which is now finally paying off. While other parents let their kids play outside, William was teaching his daughter how to perform. Now Tanice's manager, he's known to get a little carried away at times, but he always has his daughters interest at heart.

Teela Rosenberg (Played by Vanessa Marcil) Teela is Tanice's agent. She works for a "The Rothenstein Talent Agency" and Tanice is her biggest client. She constantly locks horns with William about Tanice' s future. She feels her job is to make Tanice the next big thing, so she jumps through hoops trying to make sure her client is satisfied, and famous.

Danielle Skiles (Played by Aleisha Allen) Tanice's 16 year old sister. "Danni" as they call her tries her best to share the spotlight with her famous sister, but is normally lost in the background. It's because of this, that although she looks up to her sister, she despises her at the same time. A lot of time, mom and dad are too busy with Tanice's career to notice Danielle.

Melita Moore  (Played by Kyla Pratt)

 Tanice's best friend, and usually, the voice of reason. Melita, or "Lita" has been Tanice's best friend since kindergarten. She's well spoken, and enjoys her friends company whenever Tanice is around. Although it's becoming harder and harder for the two friends to keep close, Tanice tries to makes it a point that Melita joins the family for those long road trips.

Nine Mill A.K.A. Calvin Wallace

(Played By Ludacris)

Tanice has had a crush on Nine Mill since he first started as a rapper. It was a lucky break when she was allowed to open at one of his concerts and meet the man himself. Shockingly, Nine Mill also was into her. Given his gangster lifestyle, William isn’t too thrilled that his daughter is involved with such a man, especially since their relationship usually gets them both in trouble.
