Village of Bethany

A Mayor and six Trustees, all of whom are elected to their positions, govern the Village of Bethany. They oversee the utilities, police department, and streets and alleys.

Bethany is unique in that they are 1 in 15 municipalities in the State of Illinois that own all of the town utilities. This makes it one the most competitive in lower utility rates and excellent water quality.

The Village of Bethany has six full-time employees, which oversee all of
our utilities. The Village of Bethany also has a large TIF district,
which encompasses most of the village.
