These first two lines have been traced to Scandinavian and Northwestern Europe lineage.  We know the German influence is there by proof and in the part of the surname "stedt" which means "a place."  The original spelling of Almstedt has been traced as far back as Erik Almstedt born 1723 in Sweden.  The families remained in the same area of Sweden for many years before their travels toward America.

Testers 48517 and 49575 are Viking-Scandanavian roots, family proven to 1723 Sweden thru Erik Almstedt, and German roots as far back as 1300's.  This line remained in Northern Europe and Scandanavia and do not have British connection.  While we have proof of these two testers matching exactly, we do not have others at this time that have been tested on this direct line.

Tester 64793 off from the first two (who match exactly) by 14 mutations on the first 25 markers and 6 mutations on the last 12 markers of the 37 marker tests.  While this tester is not of the same parentage as the first two, he does show the same strong roots of Viking and Scandanavia ancestry.  This tester also matches with many British people whose paternal Viking ancestors settled in England hundreds of years ago.
